Still Waters was built by O.E. Johnson, an executive with General Motors, in 1935. It took his brother, a shop teacher from Lansing, Michigan, six years to complete the custom knotty pine interior. His creative work including shaping custom metal hinges with a theme for each of the six bedrooms, a large fireplace in the center of the library-living room and the barn bedroom with its own wagon as a bed and horse harness decorating the walls.

EXPANSION

Still Waters was completely updated and expanded in 1984 by Carolyn and Bill Wilkie the owners since 1977. In 1998, they further expanded Still Waters B&B including a library, sunroom-entrance and great room. entry

that serves as scrapbooking center or as a conference room for business planning sessions of up to nine individuals or four couples. However, the original themes including floor to ceiling knotty pine interior were preserved.
